I'd suggest stocking up for him next time you happen to be this way, but knowing how these things go, if you bought a load of 35s by the time he was getting close to that size the children's ones would go up to that but the adult ones not start until 39.
You could of course put him into the lovely funky strappy delicate ladies ones - I'm sure it would be character building. Or something.
