Try http://www.oneswitch.org.uk/index.htm - lots of links as well as information and I think that's where I saw the "build your own switch adapter for toys" page. Loads of sites with free switch access too if you can get the switches sorted in the first place.

I've not done it yet (cos not worked it out yet) but I'm told Power Point can be made switch accessible too so that's a nice free resource too.
